The role involves leading the Taxation.
Tax Compliance: Ensuring timely and accurate preparation and filing of various tax returns as required by Indian GST laws.
Tax Planning and Advisory: Developing tax-efficient strategies to optimize the company’s tax position while complying with GST.
Tax Audits and Assessments: Handling audits, assessments, and appeals before tax authorities. This includes preparing responses to tax notices, attending hearings, and defending the company's tax positions.
Tax Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating tax risks associated with the company's operations, transactions, and business decisions. This may involve conducting tax due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring activities.
Financial Reporting and Tax Provisioning: Collaborating with the finance team to ensure accurate tax provisions and disclosures in financial statements as per Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
GST Compliance: Ensuring compliance with GST regulations, including filing of GST returns, reconciliation of GST credits, and handling GST audits.
External Relationships: Building and maintaining relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, consultants, and regulatory authorities to stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and to seek advice when necessary.
Tax Litigation: Managing tax litigation matters, if any, including coordinating with external legal counsel and representing the company in tax litigation proceedings before appellate authorities and courts.
· Solid knowledge of GST.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
