About the Role
As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible to work on complex automations, enhancing cloud infrastructure and troubleshooting. Your work will directly support executive decision-making, stakeholder communications, and strategic business development.
Key Responsibilities:
● Collaborate with software developers, quality assurance engineers and IT professionals to guarantee smooth deployment, automation and management of software infrastructure.
● Consulting with management on the operational requirements of software solutions.
● Contributing expertise on information system options, risk, and operational impact.
● Mentoring junior software developers in gaining experience and assuming DevOps responsibilities.
● Managing the installation and configuration of solutions.
● Oversee routine maintenance procedures and perform diagnostic tests.
● Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for multiple software applications and environments.
● Create and maintain monitoring systems to guarantee high availability and performance for software applications.
● Documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
● Manage and enhance cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
● Automating software deployment, configuration, and upkeep processes
● Troubleshoot software infrastructure issues and collaborate with the team to resolve them.
● Conforming to best practices in network administration and cybersecurity.
● Design and implement IaC solutions to automate the provisioning and management of infrastructure
● Troubleshoot and resolve IaC-related issues
● Stay up-to-date on the latest IaC tools and technologies.
● Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, then utilize them to enhance your software infrastructure.
Key Qualifications:
● Graduate/post-graduate degree in Computer Science or related field
● With 5+ years of proven experience as an IaC Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or related role.
● Extensive experience in DevOps engineering, team management, and collaboration.
● Acquaintance with software development processes and methodologies
● Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
● Experience with continuous integration/delivery tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or CircleCI would be advantageous
● Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP
● Excellent scripting skills in Bash, Python, PowerShell or Ruby.
● Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
● Familiarity with configuration management and orchestration tools.
● Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or CloudFormation.
● Understanding of Agile and DevOps principles and their application in infrastructure automation.
● Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack is essential.
● Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services, including virtualization, networking, and storage.
● Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
● Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
